The villa is situated just outside Torre del Mar, only 30 minutes east of Malaga airport. Only 2 km from the coast and close enough to the local beaches, shops and restaurants. The easiest way to the town is by bike and we have 4 mountain bikes at the villa for you to use free of charge (deposit required).

The location of the villa makes it the ideal base for a number of outdoor activities and cultural excursions like the Picasso museum, Nerja caves and Alhambra Place. Most destinations are less than an hours drive away.

Just down the road from the villa is an open-air go-karting track for those budding Michael Schumacher’s? This is great for a fun night out. There are also paint balling and 4x4 jeep tours for an exhilarating day out.

Another great day out is the aqua park. With 5 swimming pools, a wave machine, separate children’s area, numerous water slides and cafes and bars, with plenty of room to sunbath on lounges in or out of the sun to relax. The cost is around 17 euros for an adult, 12 euros for a child and under 4’s going free.

It is around 20 minutes drive to Nerja with it’s fantastic caves, just over an hour to the ski slopes of the sierra Nevada’s and only 30 minutes to the historic city of Malaga where you can enjoy a cultural and shopping experience in one.

The old fortress town of Velez Malaga with its hill top castle looking out over the sea is only 10 minutes drive away. This is another town full of history, beautiful churches and narrow streets with white washed houses. We can arrange a full or half day tour, organised by the Andalusian tourist board. This is around 15 euros per person for a half-day tour.

For those who like to shop there is the El Ingenio shopping mall only 10 minutes from the villa. This contains numerous shops including Mango and Tara and also a 12-screen cinema (some films in English), a bowling alley, a disco terrace and a selection of restaurants.

About 20 minutes drive from the villa in the mountains is Lake Vinuela. The lake is a striking emerald green colour and the area is breathtaking for walking. The mountains each side
