Spain is not the first place which springs to mind when you think of scuba diving but there is a lot of varied diving and it is as good a place as any to enjoy this sport. The water is clear and depending on the time of year, water temperatures range between 14 and 23¢ªC.

If you are a total beginner and just fancy a taster into this new and fascinating underwater world, we can arrange a try dive. The start of your diving experience will begin with an hour in the class room, teaching you the basics and covering all the important safety rules. Then the qualified diving instructor will take you to the dive site and slowly go through breathing underwater in the shallow waters making sure you are totally confident, before finally taking you for a 5 metre dive.

Most dive sites are within 30 minutes drive and some of the best are in the marine reserve near Marina del Este. There are a number of excellent dive sites in the reserve, including caves and caverns. The sea life you may encounter varies from wrasse, cuttlefish, octopus, moray and conger eels, and various rays. Visibility here is generally good, likewise at nearby Nerja where there are some impressive drop-offs.

Spain has a lot of naval history which means there are a number of ship wrecks to dive, however, these tend to be further west down the coast towards the Atlantic .

The scuba diving centre is competitive with their rates and they also have a well-stocked shop, offering all the best quality equipment at completive prices.
